THE EARRINGS:
Elegant and sophisticated, these striking drop style clip-on earrings are meticulously designed with hand-picked cuts of beautiful green turquoise, which originate from two of my personal favorite Nevada mines! Although they share a similar tonality and can be hard to distinguish unless you examine them closely, the tops of the earrings actually come from the renowned Royston mine, whereas the bottom drops are sourced from the famous Carico Lake mine. The captivating green Royston cuts used for the tops, came from the late “Larry Cooley’s” collection, whereas the bottom Carico Lake Turquoise drops are literally cut and shaped by one of Federico’s finest lapidarian artisans, ensuring that there’s a true “Left-Right” earring that showcases a unique artistry. When worn, the pointed angle at the bottom is meant to be worn ‘toward” the face. (See photos on the ear) To learn about Larry & the turquoise that came from his collection, please click on this link: https://www.platadesantafejewelry.com/about-the-artists-1
They are designed in a “Classic” 2-stone drop and what’s so wonderful in regards to this style, is for the fact that it puts the sole focus, not necessarily on the design, but on the material, where the stones don’t have to be struggling, only to be overtaken by any metal work. As a rule, many artists will do this classic/timeless style when they have some high quality stones that have either amazing color & or character and need to be brought to the forefront.
These are a very versatile earring that can be brought up a few notch’s for an evening out or can be toned down with some denim! Don’t matter with these!
PRICE IS BASED ON: Artist name & recognition, turquoise quality, cost per carat for this quality, the amount of carats, turquoise availability, sterling cost & artists time are all reflected in price. PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:
*****I do not consider myself a 'professional photographer" but I do try to give you photos that are 'realistic" in color, so you're not shocked, nor disappointed when you get the item. I do however find that photographing anything with 'yellow' in it, (green & orange) a little tougher to photograph, since this color can come up a bit more vivid than other colors. Remember, every monitor is different ,so while some can show something to be more vivid ,other monitors can make it look duller..So please go through each photo to see any variation just to get an idea.
In order to give you close up photos so I can provide you with all the detail, photos can tend to make the earrings look much more larger & everything is more magnified & exaggerated than in actuality..So to get an accurate idea of how big these are, please either check them out being worn to get a rough idea (photos 2,5,10) or you can pull out a tape measure & compare to my given measurements that are listed above.
