The wonderful thing I truly love about Federico’s jewelry is that he never confines himself to a single style or design approach. Unlike many other designers who tend to create within a limited range of styles and often rely on a restricted selection of stones, Federico’s creativity knows no bounds. A talented designer like him sees the unique beauty in nearly every type of stone and is never hesitant to incorporate diverse materials into his work. Of course, we all recognize him for his stunning collections featuring Turquoise, Pearl, Amethyst, Spiny Oyster, and Coral, as well as the delicately designed romantic Dove jewelry that reflects his roots in Oaxaca. This particular necklace however,  perfectly exemplifies the creative spirit I’m talking about.

The Cleopatra-style panel necklace, designed back in 1999, instantly showcases the unmistakable WOW FACTOR that Federico’s jewelry consistently carries—even after all these years.

Its design features a 23-panel arrangement, with the interior elegantly lined with vintage square-cut faceted Swarovski Crystals, which Federico had treasured for quite some time before deciding to incorporate them with another stone entirely. Complementing the crystals are the faceted Carnelian drops, adding a rich depth to the piece. When light touches these two materials, a subtle, but captivating sparkle emerges. The crystals and Carnelian components are connected carefully by jump rings, creating fluidity & foldability in the design.

Known for his bold, statement-making jewelry, this necklace stands out as uniquely understated, while still exuding an unmistakably elegant and luxurious ritzy vibe.
