They’re designed with various size oval cuts of Mediterranean red coral where the color ranges from these deep rich reds to medium saturated orangy-reds. Some of the cuts have black markings which are inherent to the coral itself.

The substantial 4-3/4” design begins with a delicate floral cluster at the top, and from that anchor extends a three-stone connector that leads down to a textured crescent-shaped bottom, which holds five coral dangles. Because of the open, airy way the earrings are made, they do remain comfortably wearable on the earlobe since there isn’t an excess of sterling silver making them heavy, despite their bold, lengthy statement size.

They’re perfect for an elegant evening out, but if you’re like me and the time of day doesn’t matter, these would be absolutely fabulous to show off during the daytime as well!

Anyone in this business knows how much the price of Coral has climbed to & has gotten so ridiculously expensive, which makes it unaffordable for many artists to even consider buying. In recent years, the price of Coral has skyrocketed & compared to a few years ago when it was at about $250 a gram, it is now over $1000 -$3000 a gram for the more ‘premium grades.

Coral is now on the "RARE" list & no longer can it be fished, NOR brought in the USA. (These reasons are reflected in the price) Everyday the price goes up & up & will never be the price tomorrow, as it is today & keeps rising.. Coral has become a collectible material because of this.

Factored into the price for these is Federico’s name and long time - decades old reputation in the industry. Also factored in the price, is the amount of carats and the cost per carat for the coral used..(The less availability, the higher the price) And lastly, the need to compensate the artisan (And or staff) for their time and expertise required to create these for Federico.
