ABOUT COBBLESTONE INLAY :
Cobblestone inlay, or simply inlaying, is a specialized art that not every artist can execute easily, especially when working with miniature-sized stones. As an exceptional lapidary, the artist 1st must cut and shape each tiny stone with absolute precision so they nestle against one another as if assembling a finely detailed puzzle. The process demands meticulous skill, an extraordinary eye for detail, steady hands, and a patient temperament; the stones must be cut to a degree beyond perfection. This exacting quality is precisely what you’ll receive with these!
THE EARRINGS:
If I were to give you one word to describe these, the first that comes to mind is “Precision.” Just by looking at the entire earring, you can immediately tell these were not made by no beginner — the workmanship speaks to years of repetitious dedicated practice. When you hold the pair side by side, there’s no variation in size or shape of the stones; it’s like looking into a mirror and seeing a perfect double. The material was cut that perfectly, contributing to that flawless, finished look they have!
They are designed using three distinct types of turquoise—Sleeping Beauty, Kingman, and Chinese Spiderweb—paired with rich Italian red coral. Each stone is set within a three-sided sterling silver housing that features a contemporary finish, giving the piece a modern, refined look.
These are the perfect answer for those of you who can’t tolerate the heavier weight of many southwestern earrings — they’re very wearable while still delivering a fantastic Southwestern look. A NOTE:
I have yet to figure out who this artist is & for those who follow Native American jewelry, we usually associate “TC” with “Tommy Charlie”. I know Tommy’s work & these don’t look anything like the work he’s known for. Tommy is known for his all sterling wire work & not inlaying.(Unless there’s something I don’t know!) I do know for a fact that they are Native made though, since my vendor only deals in authentic Native American jewelry, but they just weren’t sure who this hallmark belongs to.
