These outrageously true “All eyes will be on me” earrings are designed on such a grandeur level & come with all the charm of Santa Fe!
Being what would be considered huge, these are made in a whopping 4.25" length that’s sure to turn heads and will definitely not go unnoticed. But it’s not just their length that make them stunning— they’re impressively wide as well, making a bold, attention-grabbing statement.
They are fashioned in a double-cross arrangement, with a 1" x 1" cross at the top serving as the anchor for the large 3-1/8" long cross below (with dangles). A cross-shaped layout of turquoise forms a “cross within the cross,” adding layered visual interest. The metal is free-hand cut, confirming the hand-fabricated nature of the design. Textured stamping traces the perimeter of the sterling, and both the top and bottom crosses are slightly domed rather than laying flat, giving the piece subtle sculptural dimension.
What I LOVE are the HUGE cascabel domed tear drop shape dangles, where each are big enough for some to be an earring by itself! The dangles can remind you somewhat of what was coming out of the Mexican Silver Renaissance days & are very Mexican looking! It’s not only the size that do it for these,but the dangles are nice & chunky & really say a lot for the overall design! The dangles are left opened on their backside which adds to their lighter weight,which otherwise would be heavier if they were backed by sterling.(see last photo)
They are designed using a generous amount of sterling silver, so PLEASE be aware of this before purchasing —since they are fairly substantial in weight. When shopping online,it always helps to know what weight works for you,so I would weigh out a pair of earrings that are on the brink of being heavy that you have & then compare that weight to these. If you’re comfortable wearing an earring of this size and presence, however, the dramatic look and quality make them well worth it. (see weights below)
