They are totally made by hand where Leon made his own concho 'Button' tops, which then act as the anchor for the perfectly matched, oval shaped drop. These look to be cut from the same slab & it looks like they were specifically cut for a pair of earrings since the ovals match that well! The turquoise has an very unusual -unique color blue that's not a 'turquoise' color that we normally see & each cut has both dark brown matrix with black in the stone, which mutes the blue tone down somewhat.
