THE EARRINGS:

Designed with the look of Santa Fe, these earrings carry a very contemporary, very modern-day vibe with clean lines and a super shiny sterling finish..

These sexy hoop earrings are made with vivid blue cuts sourced from the now-closed Sleeping Beauty mine. That mine shut down several years ago, and its closure has only driven prices up, particularly for the natural, higher-grades of turquoise, which are what’s used in these earrings.

They are creatively made using just two differently shaped cuts—square (tile) and pear, which lay along the perimeter of the hoop. The tops are exclusively designed with four 5.5 mm square cuts that sit together in a clustered formation for a cohesive, eye-catching look.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE:

I do want to mention that these do have a bit of weight to them.(Just under 1 ounce each) Having worked with Federico for years, he is not one to skimp on his materials, nor on sterling, and he definitely gives you some serious proportions for your money. With that said, these are made with a generous amount of sterling, so they are substantial and carry a good amount of heft. So please know what weight your ears can handle before purchasing, since I do not allow returns for earrings being 'too heavy' (See policies) I would suggest taking one of your own earrings that may be on the brink of what you think are too heavy, weighing them and then comparing that weight to mine.. Not only have Federico’s prices increased, but the cost of what artists are now having to pay for materials, has gone up as well. (Sterling & Stone/Shell) These factors are what are reflected in the price for these.

With the cost of sterling being on shaky ground, while it fluctuates daily, the rising cost is reflected in what artists have to now pay per gram or ounce for the metal.. Artists are now having to charge more for their jewelry because of this.

Also factored into the price for these, is the artist’s name and reputation, the number of carats and the cost per carat for the materials used.. Also included is the need to compensate the artisan (And or staff) for their time and expertise required to create these.
