ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Raised in the Gallup, NM area, Navajo artisan AARON TOADLENA is an artist that doesn’t take his art for granted & believes it is a blessing", since he has been able to support his whole family from making fine Navajo jewelry for many years now.. Aaron does not begin to make a piece until his mind, eyes ,heart & hands are in sync with one another & is totally focused. Always being the best he can be & doing the best he can do,it is always obvious in his jewelry. Aaron keeps his jewelry super traditional that's made in a 'old school' Navajo style, by still doing everything still by hand..This is one reason he does not do cast work, since he would rather hammer & pound through the heavy gauge sterling he works with ,just like his ancestors did.

WHITE BUFFALO TURQUOISE:
Called 'turquoise' in the industry, but actually this somewhat rare stone is not turquoise at all but rather a dolomite stone.. This unique mineral vein was discovered in the Dry Creek Mine on the Shoshone Indian Reservation near Battle Mountain, Nevada in 1993. With only the single deposit known in existence, and a very limited quantity remaining to be mined, this stone is quite rare and valuable. If you've ever wondered why it's white,is for the fact that it lacks the presence of heavy metals like copper, iron, or zinc, which makes turquoise either blue or green. Known for it's black chert matrix, but it's this 'white/black' combo that have woman seeking it out & actually come through my store asking for it by name.. Truly a unique stone!

**This is for a medium to medium large size wrist. Even though it has a larger 5-3/4" interior & measures at 6-3/4" total wrist size, the smaller 1" gap is great for women that have a little wider wrist, but are smaller boned.. This smaller gap opening helps the cuff to stay put & prevents it from flopping around & possibly falling off! ( If the gap was larger, the cuff would flop around) **Since cuff's are the only bracelet that has to fit perfectly, it helps to know what size wrist you have,so you know whether this would fit or not.

Remember, cuff's are the only bracelet that has to fit perfectly, so it's of importance that they fit right.. If you are unsure of your wrist size, I am an email away! I also suggest you click: How To Fit A Cuff
