Navajo Made by CALVIN MARTINEZ- Turquoise Mountain Turquoise- "Hand Rolled" Sterling Shank Row Cuff-3 /4"-For a Medium 6-5/8" Wrist
Calvin is a 'Collector's' artist whose work is in high demand for his "Old School' style of Navajo jewelry. He is considered a veteran whose been at this for almost 50 years now & you will never have to question the years he's put in, since it's truly obvious when you get his work in hand...He is apart of the "Martinez" family, with names that may be familiar to you, "Rick, Terry, Leon (Who I carry in my store) & his sister being Readda Begay. Everyone of them are known for their outstanding-traditional Navajo jewelry& who are known for their use of natural stones & heavy gauge sterling.
Rather than depending on jewelry manufactures to make the time go faster, Calvin does everything by hand from beginning to end. No, he doesn't buy sheet sterling like most others ,but buys scrap sterling & then melts it down so he can then roll it to the thickness he desires the piece to be.. He makes everything in a thicker gauge, which gives his pieces some weight. Coming from an era where it all you looked to use was the best turquoise, Calvin continues to this day to use only the best & gives you nothing but the best..
7 non-calibrated oval cuts of turquoise were chose for this attractive cuff that spans over the top of the wrist & narrow down in a graduated size.. The stones are filled with caramel colored matrix & are large enough to go from one side of the cuff to the other & fill the 3/4" width of the cuff. The cabs sit in their serrated bezel & are soldered to a 2 mm thickness of sterling that has a vintage revival finishing.
SIZING:
This is made for an average sized 6-5/8" wrist ,(just 1/8” shy of being a 6-3/4” wrist) but is made for a wider, but less meaty of a wrist, since it has a 1-1/8" gap opening, which is meant for a little more skinnier wrist...This has a hefty weight because of the thickness of the sterling, so this cannot be adjusted & has to fit right. So it's of extreme importance that you know your wrist size and what gap opening works best for it to comfortably fit over the arm before purchasing.

PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:
I do not consider myself a 'professional photographer" but I do try my hardest to give you photos that are 'realistic" in color. Please realize that all monitors are different, so the materials can look more vivid (or duller) from one computer to the next.
To give you close up photos, pictures tend to make the item look GIGANTIC & everything is more magnified than in actuality. To get an accurate idea of how big this is, please view it on the arm or you can pull out a tape measure/ruler & compare to my given measurements above.
